These mini Teresita sculptures honor the love story between José and Teresita. After becoming a well known Oaxacan ceramicist, José lost his vision 22 years ago. Now José sculpts Teresita's face from memory while Teresita, alongside her daughter Sara, puts on the finishing touches.
Their terracotta ceramic planters are handmade using clay from the soil in their village and have a drainage hole.
Originally seen on the September cover of Vogue, this decorative piece is a mini version we made to share José and Teresita's love story with you.
