This fan was hand-woven by female artisans in Kenya who have mastered the art of weaving sisal over the course of their lifetime, a skill that is passed down from generation to generation. The sisal fibers are hand twisted into fine, long, threads, and then dyed with rosewood bark in batches resulting in variances in color. The handle is then carved out of solid rosewood and woven tightly to the center of the mat. Use this fan to keep cool on warm summer months, or to add a beautiful design accent in your home.
