I debated between the small and large sizes because I thought the small might be too small for my needs and the large too large for the size person I am. I am 5' 125 lbs. and thought the large might be overpowering. It is a bit lager than I would like, but not overpowering. However, if you are a 5' very thin petite person, then the large bag will be too large. The leather "looks like" very expensive leather and is soft and pliable. The lining is a beautiful floral patterned light material which allows you to easily see your contents. The money compartment is roomy and serviceable which eliminates the need for a wallet and is located against your body which makes it secure. The zippers appear to be durable, and the strap is easily adjusted. Overall, the construction of the bag is very good. I highly recommend this bag. It is a very nice leather bag for the price.
